Pets in Blade Idle provides you with bonus option stats from ATK to EXP. Each pet can couple with another for special party effects when they are at the same level, so it is important to look out for these bonuses.

Each pet can be upgraded up to rank 6, where they will unlock additional stats:

1 stat at rank 1

2 stats at rank 3

3 stats at rank 6

When you have unlocked these stats, you can then randomly roll for random stats at a random rarity. When rolling for stats, you always want to aim for Mythical (yellow) or God (red) stats.

Using this knowledge, I will explain which stats are most efficient for you to focus on during the game.

Pet Souls

You should only ever merge pet souls when the pet of the soul you are merging is 6*. You want to save all pet souls for upgrading your pets before you start merging them.

Early Game (Before Stage 11)

Pig and Giant Pig

Brilliant starter pets! You receive 14% Gold from Pig and 14% EXP from Giant Pig as a bonus when they are at the same level so make sure they are always the same level!

Roll – Option ATK + Super CRIT DMG for both pets.

Bat, Ant, and Poison Mushroom:

These 3 pets are underwhelming but have their uses early game. Use them whenever you are pushing stages, dungeons, or hero advancement! They are really bad later, though as there are many other better options.

Roll – DEF or Option ATK or Gold/EXP for all pets.

Bee and Giant Bee

Another farming duo with Giant Bee grants a HUGE 20% Exp Bonus when pairing with a normal Bee, so make sure they have the same star grade! Ideally, you would want to run these Pigs + Bees duo to maximize farming for gold and levels during the early game to unlock skill slots and stronger skills!

Roll – Option ATK+ Super CRIT DMG for both pets.

Goblin and Crab

Another duo like Giant Bee that unlocks way later into the game, but if you want to maximize level gain, go for Bees + Goblin/Crab line for that massive 40% EXP Gain! Goblin also allows you to roll for EXP and Gold, giving you insane bonuses!

Roll Goblin – Gold and EXP

Roll Crab – Option ATK + Super CRIT DMG

Late Game (After Stage 11)

From this point on in the game, ACU becomes crucial for clearing stages, so your main pet setup will be focused around bonus ACU stats.

If you are clearing dungeons and stages, as a general rule of thumb, you want to hit your ACU target for the content you want to complete, then stack as much ATK as possible via Pet ATK directly from equipping the pet and rolling Option ATK% or Super CRIT DMG.

Therefore I will list a generic list of pets used for progression or farming.

ACU Slave Pets

Goblin

Wizard Imp

Small + Giant Murloc

Orc + Angry Orc

Roll – ACU/PEN/Option ATK

Farming Pets

Pig + Giant Pig

Bee + Giant Bee

Goblin + Crab would also be a great choice for farming, but it’s recommended that you use Goblin as an ACU slave.

Roll – Option ATK/ Super CRIT DMG

Defense Pets

Troll

Baphomet

Roll – Option ATK

ATK Pets

Werewolf

OwlBear

Kilin

Roll – Option ATK/ Super Crit DMG
