This guide will teach you how to get new recipes and blueprints in My Time at Sandrock.
1. How to Get New Recipies
To build a crane for Rocky, you need thick rope or bearings. One place to buy new recipes is at the Commerce Guild. If you go to the building where Jan is, there is a cash register. Interact with the cash register, and you can find many new recipes.
2. How to Get Blueprints
If you want to get some new machines, you will need to research them first. To research them, you will need a certain number of data disks depending on the machine you want to get. Data disks are essentially another form of currency in My Time at Sandrock. You can find data disks by salvaging at the salvage yard, or you can go to the Abandoned Ruins or Hazardous Ruins and kill stuff there. You will find some data disks if you mine around a little bit.
Once you have data disks, head to the Research Center on your map and talk to the researcher (Qi). Qi will show you which machines you can choose to research. I recommend starting with the Dew Collector, as you will need to collect a lot of water throughout My Time at Sandrock.
Each machine takes a varying amount of in-game days to complete. When the research is complete, the blueprint for the machine will be mailed to you directly. Now you have the blueprint for your machine, you can start crafting it at the assembly station.
