Introduction

In this guide, I’m going to tell you how to start playing Tailed Demon Slayer from scratch so that you can use all your time and resources efficiently. This guide will help boost you to level 700 quickly.

First Steps of Playing Tailed Demon Slayer

When you first start playing the game as a beginner, you have small milestones to complete. These will be quests such as ‘Use Sprint Slash Skill.’ Simply use this tutorial section to get used to the game and obtain the quest rewards.

You unlock the auto button at stage five, which you will use most of the time. You can play the game manually when trying to clear bosses, but using auto will use your skills much faster, so when you are farming, just leave the game on auto mode.

You will unlock all features by stage 700, so this will be your first goal before reaching the mid-game.

Next, clicking the icon at the end of the bar near the top of the screen will open the boss panel. This panel will recommend how much power you need to defeat the boss.

Player Power

You can view your Power at the top left of the screen. Several factors influence it in the game, the main ones being:

  • Leveling up your skills
  • Training fairies
  • Upgrading equipment
  • Costumes

I will mention how you should address these features later in the guide. First, we want to get through the training section. You want to focus on training Attack unless you need to upgrade your other stats to fulfill the quests. You will rarely die due to having little HP or Defense before Stage 700.

Clover Buff and Ad Removal

Clover buffs are various in-game buffs applied to your character, such as Atk and Skill damage. You can watch ads to receive these buffs for a limited time.

If you wish to receive these buffs permanently, you need to reach VIP level 11, granting you Ad Removal and permanent buffs. You can increase VIP slowly in the game by participating in events or completing specific quests, but you will need to spend IRL money to increase it quickly.

Ad Removal is the most efficient way of spending any money in this game if you are thinking about whaling.

Relics Pieces and Returning (Reset)

When you return as you reach later stages in the game, you will obtain Relic Pieces based on the stage you managed to achieve. However, there is a 20-minute cooldown before you can return after returning. Therefore, as you start the game, you want to return to receive the most Relics Pieces as often as possible.

Relic Pieces are your main form of currency used to draw and upgrade Relics. Relics are powerful items that improve all aspects of your character and will be your most remarkable boost toward advancing much further in the game, enabling you to reach the mid-game/late-game much faster.

After unlocking as many Relics as possible, you want to upgrade with your leftover Relic Pieces. When upgrading, first focus on Abandoned Liquor Bottle and Tortoise Shell. They are both B-grade (Green) relics that will increase the Relic Pieces you earn after returning.

Equipment

Here you can select weapons to use. For the time being, you want to auto-equip any items that drop. While you are using weapons, you increase their efficiency, making them stronger. Unfortunately, you cannot increase the efficiency of unequipped weapons.

I recommend using the Staff and Sword weapon combo for the most damage and fastest farming speeds.

You want to level up ALL your weapon proficiencies to gain permanent stats from each weapon. As a bonus, they also contribute towards discounting costumes, so you purchase them for fewer gemstones.

When you equip all items of the same grade or higher (starting from B-grade), you will earn equipment buff bonuses.

Skill Upgrades

You can upgrade your skills by using Skill Upgrade Stones. You do not need to upgrade the skills of weapons you don’t want to use, so save your stones for your Sword and Staff.

It takes more Skill Upgrade Stones to increase higher-level skills. Therefore, you want to level all your skills evenly or level up a skill until it unlocks the next rune.

Which Masteries Should You Focus On?

At the beginning of the game, you should focus all your mastery points on ‘Assist,’ which unlocks at character level 16. These masteries focus on game progression so you can rush through more stages, return at a higher level, decrease your rush recharge timer, and improve offline progression, similar to the Relics that I advised you to start upgrading first.

These are very important because the start of the game is easy to traverse through, so you do not need much player power. You want to return as often as possible to collect Relic Pieces, as mentioned earlier.

After this, focus on the first 2 masteries in the center of your Skill masteries tree. Then you can throw points into the ‘Talent’ tree.

Spending Your Gemstones

You simply want to spend your Gemstones on S-Grade or higher costumes that unlock Attack, Skill dmg, and Crit status. These stats are permanently unlocked and will work on any weapon.

Faries

Once you reach stage 152, you unlock Faries. You first have to purify fairies before they come available to you, and this process can take a long time, so you always want to be purifying fairies in the background. You can choose to watch ads to speed up this process.

Once you have some fairies available, you want to initially equip your highest-grade fairy, then merge them all to increase the grade of your fairies. You can only equip 1 fairy at the start, but you will unlock more slots as your character grows.

Fairy Choice

Sinbad is your best until you have a full SS roster of fairies. Even a low-grade Sinbad is better than a different higher grade due to Sinbad’s huge attack boost. Do not worry about the other fairies you choose here at the moment; just make sure they are high-grade.

Dungeons

Simply complete your dungeons daily. Dungeons contribute towards quest rewards, so they are a must.
