What are Wormholes?
Wormholes are instances in Hero siege where you must defeat a large number of monsters within a time limit, followed by a boss at the very end of the stage.
They are accessible once you have unlocked Hell Mode and your character is at least level 80.
You do not gain any experience or drops from enemies as you progress through the wormhole until you defeat the boss, then you will receive all the experience you would have earned throughout the instance plus plenty of rewards that will drop at the boss’s location.
Up to 4 players can participate in a wormhole with you.
Make sure that you are well-equipped if you want to complete many wormholes. I recommend that you level up your mining so that your gear is fully equipped with gems.
As you can see in the image, the blue bar at the top indicates how much time you have until you fail the wormhole.
Above the bar, it shows the number of enemies remaining until you can activate and kill the boss at the end.
It is essential to understand boss tactics, otherwise, most of them can kill you with a single ability, and wormhole bosses have a lot of health!
Different Wormhole Zones
You can check which wormhole level you will enter by accessing your bag and going to the accessories tab.
These locations change daily for each group size from 1-4 players.
As you become more comfortable with wormholes, you will notice that some levels are harder than others, depending on the class that you are playing (I hate Samurai Warlords).
Completing a Wormhole
As you finish a wormhole, you will receive plenty of gear. The level of the wormhole will also increase by 1 level.
The general formula for monsters in a wormhole is:
- Monster HP = Wormhole level x 1%
- Monster Damage = Wormhole level * 0.5%
So, monsters get incrementally tougher as you increase wormhole difficulty.
You must be careful not to charge through a wormhole once you have started it, as monsters generally hit quite hard, so it would be a good idea to begin stacking resistances and not focus entirely on the damage.
Otherwise, you will find yourself dying very frequently.
However, because of the time limit, you must deal enough damage to enemies to progress through the wormhole at a decent rate.
The best way to achieve both is to watch out for all the projectiles flying your way and get used to avoiding all the damage so you can focus more on dealing damage.
Leaderboards
Once you have completed many wormhole levels, you should compare your wormhole level to other players to see how well you match up and how far you can take your character.
This becomes significantly more fun if you can play with a friend or a guild and try to gain wormhole levels as a duo, trio, or quad.
Hero Level Ranking
The leaderboard also shows the highest Hero level rating across all characters in the realm this current season.
Hero Level is the next stage of prestige once you reach level 100, so you can gain additional stats contributing to your character’s strength and survivability.
